Originally intended for rear-channel use with a pair of our corner horns for the mains, the SLS-15 proved to be more than capable of being mains all by themselves. Their ability to free-stand makes in-room placement a breeze, and their height provides a naturally direct path for high frequency propagation to seated listeners. The full-range response of the SLS-15 makes the use of a subwoofer completely optional, their efficiency makes them not only low wattage tube-friendly, but their power handling allows them to be used for PA, instrument, and music applications in larger spaces particularly where high fidelity is required. These speakers literally embody the Soniphase goal of “taking the corner horn out of the corner” with the added benefit of better imaging - a result of free-standing placement, and improved time-alignment between the LF horn and the high frequency diaphragms for astonishing overall clarity.
